Fundraising Campaign Extended until the end of 2024

By Christmas, we had already reached 84% of our target.
Can we achieve 100% by the end of 2024 to help fund a section of the migration corridor in Chad?
Every donation you make helps ease the serious conflicts between nomadic cattle herders and local smallholder farmers.

15 kilometres for peace

Fundraiser Extended Our winter cmapaign has been extended until 31.12.2024 . Will we reach 100% with your support? Donate now and make a difference

Violent conflicts are rising worldwide. In Chad, clashes between herders and farmers are becoming increasingly frequent as cattle destroy vital crops while searching for water and grazing land. The climate crisis is worsening the situation, further threatening to escalate tensions.

Help us fund a 15-kilometre Transhumance corridor by Christmas to regulate land use peacefully. For just 60 francs, we can mark 20 metres of the path. This year, your donation will be doubled again.

Would you like to give your donation as a Christmas present with a certificate? Then please click here (certificates available in German and French).

Christmas campaign: Donate meter and promote peace

The Transhumance corridor in the Guéra region of Chad is vital to our peacebuilding efforts. How many kilometres can we achieve together by Christmas? Help us make it happen—every donation for peace is also a step toward combating hunger!

How your donation changes lives

In the Guéra region, the path to peace begins with a collaboratively developed land-use plan. One critical component is the construction of official Transhumance corridors (1). These paths, marked with concrete stakes, guide herders and their livestock to pastures (2) while keeping them at a safe distance from farmers’ fertile fields (3). Find out more about the project here.

*Double impact with your donation

Our IT partner Client Systems will double your donation, up to CHF 10,000! The matched contributions will support this SWISSAID project, our first initiative to combine humanitarian aid, development cooperation, and peacebuilding. Find out more.
